Download Game

This game has full controller support!

This is a prototype game intended to collect data for use in a study.

Quadrasylum is a 3D first person puzzle game, heavily inspired from the Portal games.

You are Steven, a convict that was institutionalised because you pleaded insanity. In order to test your remaining cognitive ability and level of insanity; every day you are sent into new test chambers. You are tasked with bringing your companion, a cube named Kevin, from the beginning to the end of each chamber.

When you complete the game you will be brought to a survey, please use the link provided at that point. (If necessary you can use this link).

Install instructions

On Windows: Unzip the file using Explorer, 7zip or WinRAR, run Quadrasylum.exe. If you get a screen that says "Windows protected your PC", click "More Info", then click "Run Anyway". - This appears because I haven't paid Microsoft for a certification >:(

On Linux: Unzip the file using 7zip or unzip, run Quadrasylum.x86_64.

On Android: Enable downloading of unknown sources for your browser and for your device, then go to your downloads folder and tap the Quadrasylum-0.7.6-Android.apk file downloaded to install it, then open the app. (Samsung, wikiHow)

On macOS: Open the downloaded file, double click Quadrasylum, press OK on the popup, now to Settings > Privacy & Security, allow Quadrasylum to run, go back to the file then double click Quadrasylum. This process is needed because I have not paid Apple for certification.
